The Role:

As Chief App Developer, you will lead the internal development function and own the technical direction of our product ecosystem. While we collaborate with external contractors, this role is about building a world-class internal capability, leading hands-on, and setting the technical bar.


You’ll:

  • Own and architect the core technical infrastructure across projects

  • Lead development of our web and mobile applications from concept to launch

  • Collaborate closely with design and product teams to bring ideas to life

  • Work with and manage external contractors when needed

  • Establish and enforce best practices around code quality, testing, and deployment

  • Be a hands-on builder while planning for scale and long-term growth

  • Build the internal dev team over time and mentor junior engineers

  • Evaluate and integrate third-party tools and services as needed


What we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience in software development, including shipping real products

  • Deep proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (React, React Native, Node.js)

  • Experience with backend systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructure (Firebase, Supabase, AWS, etc.)

  • Strong eye for quality, performance, and maintainability

  • Ability to translate business and user needs into practical engineering solutions

  • Autonomy, speed, and a startup mindset

  • Clear communicator who can collaborate across disciplines


Nice-to-have:

  • Timezone: CET (+/- 3 hours)

  • Experience leading teams or managing contractors

  • Exposure to mobile development (iOS/Android native or cross-platform)

  • Familiarity with deployment pipelines (CI/CD, Vercel, GitHub Actions, etc.)

  • Interest in low-code/no-code tools (Framer, Webflow, Zapier) as part of tech stack

  • Experience with scaling products and handling technical debt responsibly
